Check if Chromebook is using battery only
To check if your Chromebook is using battery or the power adapter:
- Open a Chrome browser.
- At the top right, click

- Click Settings
.
- Scroll to the "Device" section.
- Click Power.
- Check to see if the power source is set to Battery, if it is, then change it to AC Adapter.
