TextUs Training Guide
Broadcasts
A Broadcast message is a message that is sent to a group as opposed to an individual contact. When a Broadcast Message goes out, it will allow everyone in the Group to receive an individual Message and if they respond, a new one-to-one conversation will be started in TextUs. Contacts will not see responses from other Contacts or know that they are part of a Group Broadcast.
Best Practices - There are 4 main ingredients for a successful broadcast
● Personalized Greeting → A “hi” or “hello” and add the first name
personalization● Identify Yourself → This can be done through a signature or just letting them know who you are and what company you are with.
● Why Contacting → Provide them with the details on why you are contacting them
● Follow Up Question → End with a yes or no question to get the conversation going.
Items to Avoid
● Overuse of weblinks, email addresses or (phone) numbers
● Avoid excessive: all caps, punctuation, special characters
● Message Content - change the wording for each broadcast you send
